			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you are building a website for a brand or upgrading your existing website then ensure that your developer includes the ability to accept promotion codes (promo codes) in the booking or purchasing part of the site.  This allows huge opportuity to track where you advertising is working.  You get to try the same offer in the number of mediums and see what gets the highest return or try different offers in different mediums and see what offer atracts the most redemptions.  I am surprised how many of the larger tourism companies cannot accept promo codes!  Remember offers don&#8217;t have to all be cash discounts. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The editorial team of arrival met again yesterday and we have confirmed a number of new features for the winter issue of arrival.  We will be doing a feature on hot pools throughout New Zealand.   There is nothing visitors to New Zealand like more than to sit in one of our countries many mineral hot pools. The more we investigate for this article the more we are surprised how many great options there are.  Our goal is to inspire international visitors to try as many of them as they can.  If you think we might miss one out that you know about then flick us an email or leave a comment. </p>
<p>We will also be doing a feature on Ski Fields with an emphasis on ensuring the many club fields get exposure.  With so many Australians coming across for skiing we want to ensure they have the greatest choice presented to them.  If you have anything to offer, our editor is more than happy to hear from you &#8211; although he did say he knows them pretty well (perks of being a travel writer huh!).</p>

All customer who purchase ad space also receive coupons at the front of the magazine if they have an offer for international visitors.  Ads start from $330 per month with a minimum of 3 months, ie 1 issue.  Our paying clients also have the opportunity to gain additional exposure by:</p>
<ul>
<li>Providing hi-res images that we can use throughout the magazine. While not guaranteed, most of our clients get additional exposure this way.</li>
<li>Keeping us up to date with &#8220;whats hot or what&#8217;s new&#8221;.  We have 4-5 pages dedicated to informaing international visitors about the latest in New Zealand.   If your business has something new or different then we would love to hear from you.  Reader feedback has indicated that this is one of the most popular sections of the magazine.</li>
<li>Events &#8211; we mention events throughout the magazine but will now dedicate more space to events &#8211; so if your business or region has an event comig up over the next 5 months &#8211; let us know and we might mention it for FREE!</li>

<p>Some tips for your advertising:</p>
<ul>
<li>Use a check list to ensure you dont miss the obvious. We see plenty of ads that dont have phone numbers, websites, adresses etc. So easy when you are rushed.  I have a standard check list on file. If you would like me to email you a copy let me know.  <a href="mailto:mike@peoplemediagroup.co.nz">mike@peoplemediagroup.co.nz</a></li>
<li>Get some video footage of your business and get it up on youtube.  Link it to your website.  Video footage for mobile phones and tablets is growing at a huge rate. Data charges are coming down and 60 plus % of international visitors are using a mobile device!  This will only grow.</li>
<li>Use google alerts &#8211; easy to set up and you will be shocked what you learn.  Just search &#8220;google alerts&#8221; to find out more!  Use key words for all the things you are interested in being kept up to date with.</li>
<li>When putting together your ad continuously consider and reconsider what is the unique feature of your business. Is it the biggest, the best, the longest, tallest, friendliest, only etc.  International visitors and attracted to the words that say &#8220;unique&#8221;.</li>
<li>Make it easy for customers to give you feedback. Ask them or provide them the means.</li>
<li>Make it easy for customers to post feedback to their friends. Provide free wi-fi if you can and even a tablet for them to post on facebook etc.  The personal recommendations from customers will be your biggest seller (apart from arrival of course!).</li>
<li>Who can you jointly market with!</li>
<li>Where have most customers been prior to coming to you? Find out and develop a relationship with them so you can advertise there.</li>
