People Media Group has signed a 3 year contract with Auckland International Airport to distribute Arrival Magazine.
The extensive distribution at the airport is great for Arrival magazine clients to get their message across to international visitors who pick this magazine up almost as soon as they get off the plane.
The contract gives Arrival 13 magazine racks at the international terminal, including areas such as the customs hall and the car park, next to the pay and display machines.
In addition, Arrival is distributed at a number of other places including on Airbus, the ferry terminal, No.1 Queen St cafe and other key places throughout New Zealand.
People Media Group clients now have the opportunity to have their messages in front of travellers on recently installed digital screens on the fleet of buses belonging to Airbus Express.
Some 500,00 plus passengers currently use Airbus Express as their transport of choice to and from Auckland Airport each year. With a 40 minute travel period to and from the CBD, this audience can now be exposed to targeted advertising that compliments and enhances their travel experience .
Mike Taillie says “this is a first time opportunity for our clients to be able to combine the power of digital imagery and the shelf life and portability of our Arrival magazine in print”.
People Media Groups clients have been asking about ambient marketing opportunities with the group over the last 12 months. In a move to assist our clients, we have purchased a cafe and bar at No.1 Queen Street that gives our clients the opportunity to promote their products and services at one of new Zealand’s leading addresses – No.1 Queen Street!
This unique location is more than a cafe, as it’s land footprint offers ambient space for activities such as product launches, samplings, events and other promotional opportunities that expose our clients products to a high volume audience, that passes this address every day.
“our traffic count of some 25,000 plus is a fantastic opportunity for our clients to engage with locals and tourists from a wide and varied demographic. ie. the wealthy working executive in the cbd to the cruise ship passenger on a short stay in Auckland” says Mike Taillie.
Early promotion have included activity from Virgin Australia, Tourism Australia, Flight Centre, Hertz, Zorb Rotorua, Maxx transport and other leading New Zealand and international brands.
People Media Group has signed an exclusive agreement with airbus express to distribute Arrival magazine on all buses that transport travellers to and from the Auckland International Airport. There are two magazine racks per bus that ensure travellers are exposed to the magazine on their 40 minute journey to or from the airport.
Airbus Express currently have a passenger count in excess of 500,000 travellers per year and with additional buses increasing the frequency to every 10 minutes, it is expected that this passenger count will grow expotentally over the next 24 months.
Mike Taillie, Managing Director of People Media Group says “this is a great opportunity for our clients to integrate their print advertising with the digital advertising opportunities now available on screens on-board the Airbus Express buses. For example, an offer can be promoted on the screens with a message to pick up more information, grab a copy of Arrival magazine below”.
